Among the lightest four-berth caravans available, the Discovery Plus D4-4L has an unladen weight of just 949kg and an MTPLM of 1,082kg. Combined with a compact 5.92 metre external length, it opens up caravanning to owners of smaller cars and makes storage far simpler. French Bed A permanently made-up corner bed is unusual at this weight and length. It means no nightly setup and gives the D4-4L a proper bedroom feel despite its compact footprint. End Washroom The rear washroom keeps facilities contained at one end, away from the sleeping and living areas. Exceptionally Light At 1,082kg MTPLM, the D4-4L is towable by a broad range of smaller and mid-size cars, which removes one of the main barriers to getting started. Compact Footprint A 5.92 metre external length and 2.23 metre width make the caravan easy to place on a pitch and to keep at home or in storage. Efficient Use of Space Fitting a fixed bed and a rear washroom into this length takes careful planning, and the result is a caravan that feels considerably more usable than its dimensions suggest. The D4-4L is a natural choice for couples or small families who want a fixed bed and a low towing weight in a genuinely compact caravan.
